The last round of the season will be played in the top two Divisions in Norway today.
Even though todays result will make no change for Fredrikstad, we still believe they will go out to win the last match of the season against Lyn. They will finish in 14th spot either way, and that spot means that they will have to play-off to keep their place in the Norwegian Premier League (Tippeligaen). They have already been paired with their old rivals, Sarpsborg, next in the play-off match next friday.

Because of that important match on friday we believe that Fredrikstad will field a strong side out who is out to win the match against hapless Lyn. The Oslo-side were relegated several rounds ago, and Lyn has only managed to win two times in the League this season. Bwin.com offers odds of 2.50 for an away win to Fredrikstad. We will take it.

In the Adeccoligaen (1st Division), the four teams who will be relegated is already decided (Skeid, Stavanger, Notodden and HamKam). Hønefoss and Haugesund are currently occupying the top two spots which gives promotion. However both Sogndal and Kongsvinger are only two points behind and could overtake Hønefoss and Haugesund at the last hurdle. Haugesund entertains Sarpsborg at home, while Hønefoss welcomes Sogndal to their ground. A draw will be enough for Hønefoss to secure promotion to Tippligaen, while Sogndal must win to win promotion. Kongsvinger also has a chance of going up directly. A home win is in the cards for Kongsvinger as their opponent Mjøndalen has only one match away all season. But odds of just 1.35 for a home win is not exactly something we will cheer for. So all in all, the “safest” bet today seem to be Fredrikstad in the Tippeligaen, while HamKams game against Skeid should also end with a home win, but for 1.40 we will not touch it.
