Real Madrid have made a steady start to the new season, beating Deportivo La Coruna and Espanyol in La Liga. With two wins in two league games, they go into this tie with a lot of confidence. Esteban Granero, Guti and Cristiano Ronaldo were the scorers in Real’s 3-0 win over Espanyol on Saturday.

He will play ahead of playmaker Almen Abdi who will hold the key to unlocking Madrid’s defence.
