We have decided to open a post to one of the best players of the world Franck Bilal Ribéry because a player like Ribery really deserves it! He is a football midfileder(born 7 April 1983) that plays at the German Bundesliga team Bayern Munchen. Being French, he started playing at Boulogne,Metz and Marseille and then he was transferred to Galatasaray. He was charactarised by many with the following quote : “pace, energy, skill and precise passing”. After the astonishing transfer to Bayern Munchen, all the spotlights was turned to him. He is one of the best French player from his generation along with Benzema and others from the French national team. Zidane said once about Ribery that he is “jewel of French football”.

Ribery International Career

Ribery had first appeared in the France national team in a victory over Mexico(1-0) on May 27, 2006; he started the match from the first 11 but later was changed with David Trezeguet in the 75th minute. He was part of France’s roster for the Germany 2006 FIFA World Cup, where he scored 1 goal. He started the final match and ended without being substitute where France lost with Italy, and his performance wasn’t that great at all, managing only to shot a single ball to goal. But except that match , he had a wonderful appearence in France vs England when he scorred the winning goal on March 26, 2008. On 17th of June 2008, during France’s 2-0 Euro 2008 loss to Italy, Ribery suffered an injury in the eighth minute after a ligament rupture in his left ankle, and then underwent a successful surgery in Munich two days later. Recently Franck Ribery has become some kind of leader for the national team. In the WC 2010 Qualifying stage he scored in both matches against Lithuania which brought France back in the game for FIFA WC 2010 South Africa.

Ribery Personal Life

When Ribéry was two years old, he and his family were involved in a car accident in his natal city, colliding with a truck. Ribéry suffered serious facial injuries that resulted in over one hundred stitches and left two long scars down the right side of his face. The aftermaths of this terrible accident was getting the nickname of “Scarface” from the masterpiece movie starring Al Pacino. He has a wife named Wahiba, which is a French national of Algerian descent, and the couple have two daughters, Hizya and Shakinez. Ribéry was converted to Islamism. He raises his hands to the sky at the start of each match in a sign that resembles prayers in Islam. He later confirmed his conversion in interviews, telling that his new Islam name is Bilal, in reference to Bilal ibn Ribah
