I’m a fan of this team and i tell you i wanted to stop supporting Steaua when i heard that Becali wants to sell a couple of players. Anyway he is giving the money so i shouldn’t tell him what to do. Steaua is the most known team in Romania.Back in 1986 they won the European champions Cup(nowadays known as”UEFA Champions League”) and a year later played the final(were beaten by AC Milan).
Steaua gave the Romanian football many talents including:Hagi(FC.Barcelona ),Adrian Ilie(Valencia CF),Radoi,Dica and may other players that i don’t remember now.l
A year ago they reached the UEFA Cup semifinals and lost against Middlesborough in a thrilling encounter.This season Steaua played in UEFA Champions League after 10 years. Finished 3-rd and later was eliminated from the UEFA Cup by holders Sevilla.
That was the history.
In the present team there are some players that value much for the club:Radoi,Goian,Ghionea,Dica,Paraschiv.
